Dove Release at Funerals

At Doves of Love we want all Funerals to be as special and personal as possible.

The Dove release ceremony typically begins with the reading of a poem, which you can provide or we will select a suitable poem for you.

If the flock package is chosen, following the reading of the poem the flock will be released from the baskets and then the lost one’s spirit is symbolically released in the single Snow White Dove (the Spirit Dove).

You may want to choose to release the ‘Spirit Dove’ by hand. Upon release it joins with the angelic flock and serenely wings its way to the heavens, creating a sentimental and memorable moment that observers will hold on to forever.

As our carefully bred and trained birds are released into flight, it is our hope that the beauty and symbolism of the angel-like splendour may take your breath away.
